Boise Latter-day Day Saint Meetinghouse Heavily Damaged by Fire

A Latter-day Saint meetinghouse in Boise, Idaho, suffered extensive damage after a large fire burned through the building late Tuesday night. The Boise Fire Department responded to the two-alarm fire at 5645 S Maple Grove Rd. shortly before midnight. The team was able to have the fire “knocked down” according to the department’s social media page in six minutes. No civilians were injured, but one firefighter suffered a heat injury and is being treated.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation and the total cost of damage is unknown.

 

Flames can be seen rising out of the first floor of the meeting house.
